Sunflowers Pack a Punch with Chameleon Kid

Sunflowers are a trio hailing from Porto who have made quite a mark on Europe since their formation in 2014, just like Nirvana proved way back when: a trio can pack a punch, and Sunflowers are no exception.
Like any fine band, their sound has evolved over the years - their first EP Ghosts, Witches and PB & J’s saw the trio riding the waves of that classic surf punk sound, yet the very next year, their debut album The Intergalactic Guide to Find the Red Cowboy still had that ‘cowabunga’ energy but was thrashier in nature. From the beginning, Sunflowers’ sound has been authentically theirs.
Their latest offering, the self-produced Chameleon Kid, is a ‘fuck you’ to the pressure of fitting in, an ode to the misfits, the outcasts, those of us who dare to stand out. It’s a lozenge of solidarity, laced with melodic thrash-punk, and the middle leaks an infectious guitar solo, confirming its place on your playlist - and the subsequent album’s place in your record collection.
What album? Well, Chameleon Kid is the first single to be released from their upcoming fifth studio album, You Have Fallen… Congratulations, which is set for release on November 7th via Fuzz Club Records.
