Last Sunday, I had the pleasure of seeing Paris Paloma live at the 3 Olympia in Dublin. With it being my birthday the day before, we were a little bit hungover... Nevertheless, we arrived in Dublin in a joyful spirit for the show.

The openers were a sibling duo from the Netherlands called Sarah Julia - the pair were incredible, able to hold the audience in the palm of their hands with only a guitar. The most impressive part of their act to me was their harmonies and how well their voices blended to create a beautiful sound. The pair brought a folksy, country vibe to the show, which set the tone perfectly as we waited for Paris Paloma

They are artists to watch!

Paloma opened the concert with my mind (now)which starts slowly with isolated layered, harmonic vocals, which explode into the anthemic chorus.

Seeing it live was an amazing experience.

Throughout the show, I was struck by how theatrical the setlist was; it was like watching a musical rather than a concert. Paloma commanded the stage with such ease: whether it was the loud, drum-heavy epic songs or the quiet, acoustic, intimate ones, Paloma had the crowd feeding off her every word.

For me, the highlights of the show were drywall, hunter, triassic love songand of course, labour, which was the encore song. The feeling of singing that bridge with 1300 other people was immense and showcased the community and solidarity Paloma has created in her fanbase.

Overall, the concert was one to remember.

The whole night felt magical as Paloma created a beautiful, whimsical, folksy world to immerse ourselves in for a little while before returning to the real world.
